This 8 hour course is divided into two 4-hour parts.
The class explains the essentials of interconnected electric power systems in very basic, practical terms, giving a comprehensible overview of the terminology, electrical concepts, design considerations, construction practices, operational aspects, and industry standards for nontechnical professionals with an interest in the power industry. From generation to household wiring, this course explains it all in easy-to-understand terms.
Based on the award winning text "Electrical Power System Basics for the Nonelectrical Professional" by APT President Steve Blume, the class exposes students to all of the important aspects of an interconnected power system without asssuming a great deal of existing knowledge or experience.
