Description
This course will introduce the student to the construction safety and health standards of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on Construction safety and health for construction workers, supervisors, and others involved in construction activities. It emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards. The topics covered include Students attending the entire course will receive their“ OSHA 10 hour card” by mail approximately 2 weeks after the course concludes. Upon completion, the student will be able to:

- State the purpose of the OSH Act and list the functions of OSHA
- List the OSHA inspection priorities and describe the inspection process
- Describe rights and responsibilities of employers & employees under the OSH Act
- Apply compliance requirements for the various construction standards
