Description
Applied Professional Training (APT)
offers up to three (3) credit hours for Work experience that is related to a course. Work experience credit is intended for students that can prove they have met the learning outcomes of a course through actual experience. Work experience credit must meet the following criteria.
- Student submits APT’s Work Experience course application with a resume.

APT
’s Credit Evaluation Committee (CEC) either approves or denies the application.
- Upon approval, APT will assign a course and credit earned.
- The CED might require a project to be completed and a letter from employer (or former employer) before credit is actually granted. An APT instructor might be assigned to verify and validate meeting the work experience requirement.

Cost:
$1295 for 3 College Credits $995 for 2 College Credits
Requirements
- Student must be enrolled in an APT degree program
- The work experience must be within the intended scope of degree program course.
- Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Students must complete a minimum of 135 hours of qualifying work experience for three (3) credit hours.
- Students must complete a minimum of 90 hours of qualifying work experience for two (2) credit hours.
- Students may enroll in only one Work Experience course in the Associate’s Degree program.
- Student’s conduct must be professional and responsible during the employment for which Work Experience is being considered.
