Description

The main CNIL course has been divided into "A" Computer Literacy, "B" Information Development, and "C" Information Presentation. 

 

This is the "Information Presentation" portion of the series. 

This course is designed for those who are interested in becoming computer literate with a basic understanding of computer operations and networks, office automation, and practical computer software applications.  The focus of the course general computer operations knowledge with practical software applications including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.  Students will learn through instructor led demonstrations, in-class practice exercises on computers, and individual assignments.  The Information development section of the class involves the use of word processing application programs that start with the basic concepts of how to create and save new documents, change text, insert pictures, tables, diagrams, text boxes, watermarks and styles to make professional looking documents.  The spreadsheet portion covers data base manipulation, creating macros, basic mathematical functions, charts and graphs, plus how to merge information from other source documents. The Presentation section focuses on creating professional looking presentations using backgrounds, animation, inserting video’s and pictures and a host of other special enhancement tips.  Students are supplied with a take home manual for future reference. Laptops will be provided for each student and software applications will use Microsoft Office 2007.

This course normally accompanies parts "A" (Computer Literacy) and "B" (Information Development).

This course can be used as a General Education requirement under the GE category "Communictions/Analytical Thinking".
