June 25, 2009, President and CEO gave presentation to HUD HOPE V Green Building and Energy Efficiency Conference in Washington, DC on Green Energy Technologies (Solar and Wind Net Metering). 

 

January 20, 2009; President and CEO's IEEE book "Power System Basics for Non-Engineering Professionals" received recognition by Choice Magazine as an Outstanding Academic Title for 2008.  Choice is the magazine for the American Libraries Association, and it annually selects titles for recognition in various categories. Only 679 books out of 7,290 received this recognition in 2008.

These outstanding books have been selected for their excellence in scholarship and presentation, the significance of their contribution to the field, and their value as important -- often the first -- treatment of their subject."   Choice Magazine is found in most undergraduate college and university libraries in the United States and is used by librarians, faculty and key decision makers for collection development and scholarly research.
